Although it’s been awhile since I’ve posted, I’ve been busy.  First, I – reluctantly – had to give up on the new artist I met and went back to the one who had done the cover art on The Summit.  Boy, am I glad I did.  Not only did she turn the work around quickly, she did an absolutely amazing job.  I’m am working through the last read-through of the “The Fallen”, then I have to make the edits I’ve marked, burn to MP3, and give it one, last listen before it becomes a book I can print.  The cover art Steph did … all I can say is just WOW!  I will definitely be using her for the cover of Trials.

Also, we got a new main computer here at the house, and – as you might expect – it takes time to get that burnt in.  I have to say, though, this one went fairly quickly.  No, we did not go with Windows 8.  We dealt with what I think is an intentional “stall” from the company we purchased from and waited a long time to get a Windows 7 box.  From everything I’ve read, we’ve made the right choice.  Besides, I didn’t want three operating systems to manage.  This keeps us at 2 (well, besides the iOS stuff).

Finally, believe it or not, I am at chapter 12 of Beyond.  This is a really interesting journey, dealing not only with what Van has to do at the end of her life, but also what happens when she shows up on Thuria 1,500 seasons after she left.  She becomes horrified by what has happened in her absence.  Theo gives her a choice to stay or to leave, but she has to stay on Thuria one moon.  Early in, it seems pretty certain she won’t stay, and seeing what she’s seeing, you could hardly blame her.

Thanks!
