What a good month it’s been for writing!  I have to confess that writing Purebred has kind of taken out any other writing (including here) I would have done – well, that and one other little project.  This, in many ways, is the most difficult part to write – how my two main characters started off at odds and not understanding one another, and ended up being not only friends, but good friends.  Despite bigotry on both sides, wrong assumptions, and a lot of pain on both sides, the two (of course) come together.  It’s really cool, as well, to see them testing the water (to use a cliche) after that “ah-ha” moment to see if their friendship truly really genuine.

One other little project has taken my spare time this month, as well.  I’ve been listening to my books.  What’s great is that listening to them so closely together has meant I’ve picked up on a few minor continuity issues, and I’ve been able to correct them – nothing major, just side details.  Also, since Purebred is “coloring in” more of my characters’ pasts, a few details have been changed in the other books to match.  What’s more, is that even though I’ve been through each of these books almost more times than I can count (when they were under development or in editing) I still enjoy the story!

Have fun and take care!
