Hi there! Thanks to a couple of bursts of writing and some scenes which really flowed nicely, “Purebred” is over the 300 page mark! The story is coming together very nicely, as well, with our heroines stepping on each others toes, blundering into the sensitive places in each other’s lives, and finding the little, beautiful things that surprise you and change everything you thought about someone. It’s about learning and taking risks, and eventually, it has to be about trust and a commitment.
Trust simply means that someone knows they are not disposable in another’s eyes – they truly matter. Commitment is realizing that every relationship or friendship will have problems, but the two have sealed off the exits. Although there will be pain, no one is going to be abandoned. But as with everything worth having, building such trust and commitment is hard and requires sacrifice along with more than a bit of divine providence.
