There are now two complete “novelettes”* available on The Thurian Saga Bonus Story page! How do you find the Bonus Story page? Well, it’s easy; just hover over “The Story” menu option, and “Bonus Stories” appears! Well, either that or just click this link: https://jamestoddlewis.com/bonus-stories. Now, please read the rest of this blog entry for more details on what’s coming up next!
Okay, so Beyond 2 is now at Chapter 22. I’m beginning that chapter, and I feel like there’s probably no more than two or three left before that book closes out. For those of you keeping score, that would be book 10! Only by the grace of God there go I, and it’s such a blessing that I get to keep doing this. Also, the kind reviews and watches and faves and comments are awesome and really touching… THANK YOU!
I’m probably going to start preparing Trials of the Teldear for publishing as soon as Beyond 2 is in the bag. The steps remaining to release the book are basically this…
- Convert the entire book to MP3 using a text-to-speech program (a day).
- Convert the book to Kindle format (a few days).
- Transfer the MP3 version and the eBook to my iPad Mini.
- Review the book while listening to the spoken words, reading along, and marking using the Kindle Reader’s highlighting and noting abilities.
- When done (after a couple of months), make sure all of the edits are back into the main manuscript.
- Reconvert the book to Kindle format (a few days, again, but a little more because we’re going for the spit polish here).
- Pull the ISBN out of my inventory, and then upload to the Kindle store on Amazon.
Now, there’s a lot that can delay me like … life, right? Also, if another great story appears in my head, I’ll probably jump on that. I’ve loved working on the Sahnassa reconciliation story. Foxena (Kat Miller) has done splendidly on the illustrations, and I have a few more banked up waiting for more stories.
So, keeping it somewhat short, that’s what’s going on right now! Hope you are well!
See you in the future!
James Todd Lewis
PS: I’m sourcing the “Novelette” term based on the length and on a post in “The Writer’s Circle” page on Facebook. Here’s the link (you have to have an FB account). That’s actually being conservative, as Sahni’s story counts as a “novella” by that standard. Who knew, right?
