Well, I’m actually amazed! I haven’t posted anything in like … awhile! That’s because we’re entering the “home stretch” of the novel. I … kind of start really putting in the time focused mostly on that. Although the other stuff is fun writing doing the set-up, playing through and bringing about the resolutions to plot lines – even working in a few “surprises” is truly a wonderful and enjoyable experience. There are a bunch of things I’m “putting off” right now, until the book is actually complete (and that may be three to five chapters away yet with everything that has to be tied up). On the list of things I’m putting off, I have money set aside for cover art, and that is going to wait for a bit. Also, there are more query letters to send out, as well. However, I’m having fun right now, and the reason I write is because it’s fun for me – not for any other reason (other than giving God glory and praise for his kindness to me in letting me pursue this – that’s always first).
What’s been fun with this book has been working in this book has been to work in one story line with characters in the distant past. That’s been a fun way to completely change up the style and narrative and situation – all with application to the present story. How, is a bit of a secret, but still. I’m hoping it will be fun to read.
