I’m really hoping to give myself a birthday presents of sorts in early April – basically that two new books will be “done.” First, I have the edits back from Trials, and I’m making them as fast as I can. I also, for a change, have a request from the editor to add more background to one of the characters (which is a bit more time consuming). Also, I’m doing my final “guided” read-through of The Fallen. Once that’s done, I will give that version to my editor, but I’ll probably go ahead and make it available to a few others, as well.
I also have to confess that I’m wondering what to do with these books. I, for awhile, put out some query letters, but it’s clear that is a very long, very inefficient process. For example, some agents don’t even bother providing you with any response – not even a slip of paper that says “not interested.” So, you have to wait a month to sixty days in order to feel secure about sending to the next one. Not crazy about this. The more I think about it, the more I’m feeling a pull to drop at least a few of these books out on Amazon under their author’s program. We’ll see. I’m postponing that decision until I get these two books DONE.
When they’re done, I’ll be down to working on Beyond, and praying through what to do with the books, but I think I want to do “something” by this summer. Anyway, take care, and see you in the future… 🙂
