friendhugHooray!  Elizabeth Phillips has done it again!  She has miraculously pulled off a wonderful performance of the very first book in the Thurian Saga, and I have to say, it was very heartwarming to hear the richness and emotion she brought to the story, continuing her wonderful portrayal of Sahni and Van in Purebred.  If you don’t want to care or don’t want to cry, then this book isn’t for you!

I’ve gotten some wonderful advice by a few audio book aficionados that it’s a good thing to try to record one book soon after the other so that the portrayals are the same, and Liz does a wonderful job with that.  So, even though I still haven’t much figured out how to advertise and sell an audio book, we felt it was the right time to proceed with the book which completes the story left hanging in the Purebred epilogue.

In other news, I’m all the way up to (stops and opens my iPad to check my progress) Chapter 17 in The Fallen – the next book in the Thurian Saga to be released.  It’s been crazy trying to make progress on the audio book, the cover, and another eBook all at the same time, so writing has taken a back-seat.  I’m hoping to start that up again, but I want to get The Fallen out there for folks to enjoy because it’s got some really, really good action in it.  I’m excited to share it!  So, I’ll update you again soon with more details.

As an aside, I want to write down all the details of making the audio book, because I think the process was really neat (and had some interesting hurdles), but I’m not sure where to post that.  I’m probably leaning towards another entry on the website like (How I write, etc.).

This post’s wonderful art was done by Kat Miller, who also did the covers for both Purebred and The Rescue (audio book).  It shows our two heroines embracing during the rescue at the Meeting Den resort.  I have a real fondness for line art, and Kat does a wonderful job with it.

See you in the future!
